Media converters enable seamless communication between different types of network media and are therefore indispensable components in modern networks. KTI converters are also used as smart translators when different types of fibre optics meet. The devices connect single-mode and multi-mode fibre optics at consistent speeds.
Converters play an important role in expanding and integrating networks by improving range and flexibility. Optionally equipped with management functions or PoE functionality, they can be used in a wide variety of applications. Over 40 years ago, KTI was an industry pioneer in converter technology. Switches reliably connect users, applications and devices within a wired network structure. They distribute data streams, enabling information exchange and communication between them. KTI offers a wide range of switches – from robust all-rounders to high-performance devices with extensive management functions.
Uncomplicated mini switches that can be put into operation immediately are ideal for small offices and home offices. Devices with management functions are suitable for use as network backbones or floor distributors. The ability to simultaneously supply devices in the network with power via Power over Ethernet is becoming increasingly important for many areas of application. Many KTI switches are therefore also available as PoE models.

Industrial Ethernet begins where conventional network devices reach their limits. Media converters and switches from KTI's Industrial Ethernet range are the solution when it comes to getting down to business. Temperature fluctuations, vibrations, humidity, dust and dirt are all part and parcel of industrial environments. KTI has developed robust, reliable and durable devices specifically for these challenges.

The product range is particularly notable for its extremely wide operating and storage temperature range. SFP transceiver modules, also known as mini GBICs (Gigabit Interface Converters), enable fibre optic transmission between network devices and are available in various designs. KTI stocks single-mode SFP modules and multi-mode SFP modules for 10 Gigabit, Gigabit and Fast Ethernet, allowing you to select the optical range required for your network.
In industrial applications, both the network components used and the SFPs must be suitable for use in extreme conditions. KTI's industrial transceiver modules support an extended temperature range from -40 to +85°C, enabling them to reliably withstand even the most demanding challenges.

Want to hide your network cabling behind a skirting board or under the carpet? Would it be even better to run the cable along the window frame? We have developed a fun solution for precisely these applications: SlimWire – the ultra-flat and flexible patch cable.
SlimWire is available in both shielded and unshielded versions. The SlimWire patch cable is six times flatter than conventional network cables, fully Gigabit-capable and, of course, also suitable for PoE applications.
